CHEAP TRICK
Los Angeles (Inglewood) - The Forum, December 31 1979
KLOS radio broadcast
Lineage: Bought tape (ca. 1980) -> played on a Nakamichi deck -> custom made audio cables -> E-MU 1212m sound card -> Sound Forge Audio Studio (volume increase) -> tlh
Quality: Excellent, no signal fluctuations, hiss, harsh frequencies, etc. Last track is a notch below for some reason.
01 intro / Hello There / Clock Strikes Ten 05:45
02 I'll Be With You Tonight 04:45
03 Ain't That A Shame 06:00
04 California Man 02:55
05 Downed 04:22
06 On Top Of The World 07:27
07 Gonna Raise Hell 09:25
08 Heaven Tonight 06:22 (tape flip at end during extended intro to "Stiff Competition", missing some of it)
09 Stiff Competiton 05:47
10 Voices 05:00
11 Way Of The World 05:22 [Removed as it was officially released]
12 Need Your Love 10:30
13 I Know What I Want 04:56
14 I Want You To Want Me / Surrender / Auld Lang Syne 09:00
15 Dream Police / outro 05:31
I have added stage chat to the end of a track so there may be less music than suggested by the total length shown. Recommended and my favorite tracks are: 7, 10 & 12
Cheap Trick as a 5 piece band here:
Richard Nielsen: Guitars, vocals
Bun E. Carlos: Drums
Robin Zander: Lead Vocals, Guitar
Tom Petersson: 12-string bass & 8-string Alembic bass on "Gonna Raise Hell", vocals

COMMENTS:
The 2 Barcelona concerts were filmed, and parts of these 2 shows were shown on MTV
At the time of it's release, this C2C release featured more songs than the original broadcast
1989/1990 is not my favourite tour - but I really liked it at the time. Keith was very much the leader of the band those 2 years.
Soundquality is great. I'd given it a "Excellent" rating, instead of "VG-EX"; if it wasn't for the sound of the drums. They didn't succeed in capturing the drum-sound for this broadcast, I think.
Coast2Coast was an excellent bootleg CDR label in the late 90s.
Most of their releases were later copied, EQd a bit and the (re-)released by VGP shortly afterwards
But VGP/DAC yet hasn't put out Barcelona 1990

Rolling Stones

Brussels, Belgium
Much thanks to danaugen for seeding the original here and happily accepting my wanting to RM it the way I did. He knows the full-detailed story of this and how the original became the "Definitive Edition", but I won't go into the details. I only used the portion of the Brussels show that was soundboard quality, leaving off the horrible AUD recording of "Starfucker". As for the other decent tracks that surround this broadcast, you'll have to wait...
I couldn't resist this one, the performance, the setlist, just the whole damn thing was awesome from top to bottom. A quality recording that needed the xtra boost of a proper mastering job, which it got and responded to very nicely. Check it for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Much warmer, bigger, brighter. The Stones in '73. Need I say more?

Hi Stones fanatics,
here it is Acid Project Vol 15, Live At MSG June 27th `75.
First of all i would like to thank Falo for initiating the work on this one. This is an amazing concert and i have never listened to it with much attention, until now.
Falo has matrixed vinyl rips of "Discover New York", "Preserve For Future", low gen tape source with vinyl rip of "Hold On Tight".
I did the usual : Azimuth misalignment, pitch, level correction and EQ !
I have also made flac files, fixed SBE errors, made checksum files with TLH.
Mr. D, has produced yet another amazing artwork and made a logo for Falo !
Enjoy !

Rolling Stones - Love You Live Los Angeles
Dogs & Cats 049
Original DAC CD -> WAV (EAC) -> FLAC (flacfrontend) -> You
Inglewood Forum, Los Angeles, California
July 9th 1975
Quality:
Very Good - Excellent Audience
One of the best recordings and performances from Tour Of The Americas 1975. Absolutely excellent show
Mike Millard is the taper of this one.
Compared to "LA Fog" (VGP), this DAC has a little more hiss - but also a but more punch and power (IMO). THere's no BIG difference though....but I prefer the DAC release.
Note that "Sympathy For The Devil" was used for "Love You Live", after editing and overdubbing
Artwork included
Enjoy....Erik_Snow

B4 Gee Baby, Ain't I Good to You (6:41) [// inc, end cut]
C5 A Night in Tunisia (9:40) [// inc, end cut]
D6 Ool Ya Koo (7:45) //
E7 Gillespiana Suite: ? (18:07) [// inc, fades in]
F8 Gillespiana Suite: Blues (12:38)
F9 Tanga (6:14)
First generation audio cassette transfer and restoration by plaz
------------------------------------------------------
Notes:
The first 3:45 was a mess until the soundman gets dialed in. The levels of the opening were too hot and the tape was over saturated with extensive clipping. You can hear the soundman fighting with the levels and mix as Diz and the boys blow the microphones off the stage. I have done what I could to make this listenable. The remainder of the recording is very good, particularly given the condition of the master reel at the time the safety cassette copies were made. The cuts are the result of the master reel falling apart and having to be spliced (denoted by //) before being fed into the R2R deck for one final playback.
The recording was received as 6 fragments (as denoted by A-F in the track listing) on 2 loaned, safety copy cassettes. The transfer of this first generation safety copy was laid out on 2 transfer discs:
Disc 1 [52:00]
Fragments A+B [34:53+7:01]
Fragment C [9:43]
Disc 2 [49:17]
Fragment D [7:53]
Fragment E [18:16]
Fragment F [19:02]
Three Cut Songs:
Fragment B was spliced onto the closing applause of A, but only the applause is cut at the end of Fragment A. However, the ends of Fragment B and C, and the starts of Fragments B and E are missing.
------------------------------------------------------
Audio Restoration:
- concatenated two discs to a single file
- gain and balance adjustments to opening 4 minutes
- gain normalized
- global phase correction (-0.10 ms)
- decrackled and declicked
- separated into 6 fragments (as recorded/copied)
- repaired clicks, pops, crackle, drop-outs and clipped peaks
- trimmed each fragment and tracked

RenŽ Urtreger Quartet with Miles Davis
VARA radio broadcast
"The Amsterdam Concert"
Concertgebouw
Amsterdam, Netherlands
December 8, 1957
Taken from compilation Rare Miles vol. 5
Superior sound to goody fix version.
My lineage is CDR as flac, onto my hard drive. Renamed tracks and tagged them.
This is Richard Russell's remastered version. Don't convert to mp3!
Source: various bootlegs, tapes etc. > shn > audio CDR > ripped by an individual to create my audio CDR > ripped by me using Toast Audio Extractor 1.1 (best setting) > Macintosh G4/1000 > Bias Peak 3.2.1 (some digital glitches manually repaired, minor dropouts repaired, TAO gaps removed, re-indexed, saved in .aiff format) > MacFlac 2.1.0
(Set 1)
1. Woody `N You (Gillespie) 4:58
2. Bags' Groove (M. Jackson) 6:56
3. What's New? (Burke-Haggart) 3:34
4. But Not For Me (Gershwin-Gershwin) 6:44
5. A Night in Tunisia (Gillespie-Paparelli) 7:04
6. Four (M. Davis) 4:12
7. The Theme (M. Davis) :17
(Set 2)
8. Walkin' (Carpenter) 6:26
9. Well, You Needn't (Monk) 5:20
10. Round Midnight (Hanighen-Williams-Monk) 5:30
11. Lady Bird (Dameron-Heath) 5:04
12. The Theme (M. Davis) :18
Miles Davis (tpt); Barney Wilen (ts); RenŽ Urtreger (p); Pierre Michelot (b); Kenny Clarke (d)
